2025-2026 FAFSA Information
The 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is open! Students can complete the FAFSA online at www.studentaid.gov. This application covers the following academic terms: Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026.
The FAFSA will ask for income data from the 2023 tax year. When completing the FAFSA online, students and contributors who have filed their 2023 federal tax return, the tax data will automatically transfer into the FAFSA easily, accurately, and securely directly from the IRS onto their FAFSA form.
** IMPORTANT:
An FSA ID is required to sign the online FAFSA. Both student and contributor must have their own separate FSA ID. For more information about the FSA ID and how to apply, go to StudentAid.gov/fsaid
To receive maximum consideration for financial aid, the MSU Financial Aid office must receive a valid 2025-2026 FAFSA and any required supporting documentation in a timely manner.
